Membership Summary:
The Woodring Curriculum Council shall include one representative from each program area or department within the Woodring College of Education, The Dean of the WCE (ex-officio), and two Woodring College students (one undergraduate and one graduate), appointed by the Dean from nominated and/or volunteer Woodring College of Education students. Appointments shall be for three years with reappointment possible at the end of each term.



Charge:

Charge: The Woodring Curriculum Council (WCC) will review and approve all requests for new or revised courses/programs and catalog copy for the College. Final review of new or revised courses and programs pertaining to teacher education and teacher certification programs will be conducted by the Teacher Curriculum and Certification Council (TCCC). Final review of new or revised courses and programs pertaining to teacher education graduate courses will be conducted by the university Graduate Council

Curriculum changes being considered that might affect courses or programs offered by another academic unit of WWU must be forwarded to those units for review at least two weeks prior to final action. Failure to do so will void the action.

Chair: The WCC shall elect one of its faculty members as Chairperson.

Reportage: The WCC reports to the Academic Coordinating Commission. Sufficient copies of the minutes of all meetings shall be forwarded to ACC for review within 30 days of the date upon which the meeting was held (except for meetings after May 10th).

Support: The Office of the Dean, Woodring College, shall provide all needed clerical support.
