Charge:

Charge:

1. To recommend to ACC guidelines for proposing courses and programs to be offered outside the United States, and for the evaluation of existing courses and programs; the guidelines should also address the question of inter-institutional standards.

2. To evaluate and make recommendations concerning proposals from all Colleges of WWU for courses and programs to be held outside the United States, with the exception of those courses with field trips which go incidentally to Canada and Mexico.

3. To evaluate the quality of existing courses and programs held outside the United States, and to recommend changes in the programs where appropriate.

4. To advise the Director of International Programs and Studies on all matters relating to overseas study and international exchange.

Membership: The International Programs Advisory Committee shall consist of seven faculty members who are broadly representative of programs and disciplines at the university appointed by ACC, one student appointed by the Associated Students of WWU, the Director for International Programs/Exchange, ex-officio, non-voting, and the Director of the Center of International Studies and Programs, ex-officio, non-voting.

Chair: The Chairperson shall be elected by and from the members at the first meeting of each Fall Quarter.

Support: The International Programs Office shall provide all needed clerical support to the Committee.
