Membership Summary:
The committee has three students, including the AS President, the AS Vice President for Activities, one faculty member and one staff member.

Kurt Willis, associate director for university residence business information systems, is ex-officio member. Because the beverage company awards these funds to support programs beneficial to students, the funds are managed by associated students. The variety of proposals are interesting and the conversation about pros and cons of proposals demonstrates the commitment of associated students to manage these funds in a manner beneficial to the student campus community.

Faculty often request funds for interesting educational and cultural programs like Flamenco, the Berlin Wall and the forthcoming Inter-American/Caribbean Forums (2009 information).

Charge:
The Cold Beverage Committee is chaired by AS president
The Cold Beverage Contract (CBC) Student Committee meets several times each year to propose, evaluate, prioritize, and make recommendations for funding high priority and strategic student programs and projects using available Cold Beverage Contract funds.
In 2004, a “Lecture Subcommittee” was formed to review proposals submitted by faculty, staff and students for speakers to be brought to campus.
The Student Committee members use relevant information from other campus and departmental strategic review and funding prioritization processes and make recommendations to the Vice President for Student Affairs.
The Committee Chair (the AS President) tracks programs and projects that have either been suggested or that might be considered by the committee.
The Faculty Senate appointment officer tracks faculty members on the committee.
CBC may meets every week during certain times of the schoolyear.
