CBE COMMENTS: Please use standard format of strike-through and underline changes. Is CHSS sending changes for combined major in social studies/economics? CST sending combined science majors information and will include stipulation that different descriptions of the same major are brought into conformity for the catalog. Question raised about gap in allowing students to graduate without history or other course in non-Western traditions |

Title of course revised to “Color Theory and Systems. Theater 366, is this a new course? Remove (270b) from A/HI411. Repeatability of DNC 433? Revise THTR 216 to read 8-hours lab work required. THTR 355 is letter graded? Repeatability? Design will have own code. Four credits of 300 level work is not something the computer can check, so a list of courses must be provided, or an override must be individually generated. Bachelor of Music header omitted. MOTION re Academic Honesty Policy (procedure)
Commissioners reviewed text of the Academic Honesty Policy and introduced some minor edits. A motion was made by Chelsea Fletcher, seconded by Michael Meehan to accept the revisions, which the ACC passed unanimously. The text will be forwarded to the Faculty Senate for review at its Monday January 28th meeting, and will become policy when it is passed by the Senate. The text of the document follows:
Academic Honesty Policy and Procedure
Appendix D to the Catalog - p. 390
(b) Appeal: A student who receives a zero on an assignment or an F in a course due to a charge of academic dishonesty and who feels wrongly accused by an instructor has recourse to an appeals process. Within five (5) working days of the finding of academic dishonesty the student may appeal to the unit head. The unit head shall make a ruling on the case as to whether 1) the student in question committed an act of academic dishonesty; and, if so, 2) whether the violation was a major or minor one, within ten (10) working days of the appeal.
If the unit head does not rule in the student’s favor the student may, within five (5) working days appeal to the Dean, who shall make a ruling on the case as to whether 1) the student in question committed an act of academic dishonesty; and, if so, 2) whether the sanction was appropriate, within ten (10) working days of the appeal.
Either the student accused or the faculty member who instigated the initial charge may appeal the findings of the Dean to the Academic Honesty Board within five (5) working days.
The Academic Honesty Board shall consist of one faculty member and two students to be selected from a pool of students and faculty appointed by the Vice President for Academic Affairs. (remainder unchanged)
