Motion

A motion was made by Thomas E. Downing, seconded by Peter Graves, and voted on by the Council as follows:

“Move that we endeavor to make as few changes in the AIC building as possible, not altering the cubic footage, and put off as much as possible the equipment, landscaping, architectural cement and aesthetic elements which do not affect the building size, and can be funded later. “   (The motion passed unanimously)

Councilors suggested that the process of capital planning in the university be reviewed.  While the ways the state project out years ahead and fund over three biennia are problematic, we cannot ignore our own process failures.  We seem to be too far off in our estimations time after time, repeatedly running into the same problems.
