Transitions 

Transitions is a full day program to prepare new transfer students to attend Western in the fall. This is your opportunity to:

  • Connect with faculty advisors in your major field of interest, student advisors, campus resources and staff.

  • Choose from workshops about housing, finances, choosing a major field of study and other important areas.
  • Receive your copy of the Bulletin, Viking Tips student handbook, and the Degree Planning Guide. 

Overnight Program for students (optional)

The overnight program is available for students and their family members the night before each session.  The $38 per person fee includes bed and bath linens, dinner, and breakfast the morning of your session date.

Transitions 2002 dates are:     

Friday, July 12             Wednesday, July 17            Friday, July 19

Fees (2002)

The student cost to attend the Transitions day program will be covered by a one-time orientation fee of $70, which will appear on your first tuition bill, due October 15. This fee includes all advising, orientation, registration, program materials and lunch; this fee does not include overnight accommodations.  

There is a cost of $35 for each adult family member who wishes to attend the Family Orientation.  If you or a family member(s) would like to participate in the Overnight Program, the cost is $38 per person per night. Fees for the Family and Residential Programs must be included with your Transitions Reservation request form.

Registration and more specific information will be mailed out in mid-May.
