Terms: Fall and Spring semester.
Eligibility: 2.5 GPA, previous college-level coursework and/or other significant preparation in environmental studies, ecology, biology, or related fields. Three recent semesters of college-level Spanish or equivalent and the ability to follow coursework in Spanish as assessed by SIT.
Instruction: Spanish and English.
Subjects: Intensive Spanish Language Study, Tropical Ecology, Marine Ecology and Conservation, Sustainable Development, Environmental and Social Issues in Panama, Educational Excursions, Field Study Seminar and Independent Studies. Spanish language, Culture, Health, Development and Environmental Studies.
