Who May Subscribe?
The eLearning subscriptions are available for any Western
Washington University faculty or staff employees.
Prior to registration you must have your supervisor's
approval to take eLearning courses and your department's
budget approving authority to purchase the subscription.
Your department will be billed for the subscription at the
time you enroll for eLearning.
Library Access Codes
When enrolling as an Individual Member, you may choose
one or more Library Access Codes (LACs). LACs are groups of
courses that you can take. When signing up for LACs it is
recommended that you choose both the NETg, Skillsoft and
possibly Risk Management LACs. Doing so allows you access to
all courses within the ELN at a lower cost than if you
purchased them separately.
NETg Library
The NETg library contains courses geared towards
technology related topics.
SkillSoft Library
The SkillSoft library contains courses geared
towards business and professional development
related topics.
Risk Management Library
Contains courses geared toward safety in the
workplace and internet security.
No Courses Library
The No Courses library allows existing users
whose membership has expired and do not wish to
renew a paid subscription to continue to access
courses previously taken for reference purposes. Any
time the user wishes they can enroll in any of the
paid library subscription.
When enrolling as an Individual Member, you may choose one
or more Library Access Codes (LACs). LACs are groups
of courses that you can take. When signing up for LACs
it is recommended that you choose the NETg, Skillsoft
and Risk Management LACs. Doing so allows you access
to all courses within the ELN at a lower cost than if you
purchased them separately.
The registration fee for the NETg and SkillSoft course
libraries is $100 each if purchased separately or $80 each
if purchased together. It is highly recommended that users
sign up for both libraries at the same time.
The Risk Management course library is $15.00 when
purchased with either NetG or SkillSoft (or both) and $30.00
as a single library.
EXAMPLES:
- Indidividual: NETg or SkillSoft - $100
- Individual: Risk Management - $30
- Both: NETg and SkillSoft - $160 ($80
each)
- Both: NETg or SkillSoft and Risk
Management - $115 ($100 for NETg or SkillSoft and
$15 for Risk Management)
- ALL: NETg, Skilloft and Risk Management -
$175 ($80 each for NETg and Skillsoft and $15 for
Risk Management
If a user signs up for either the NETg or SkillSoft
library and at a later time wishes to sign up for the other
library, they will receive the discounted price of $80 for
this second library as long as the initial library
subscription is still active.
The subscription is for the individual, not the
department. If an individual leaves a department, their
subscription goes with them and there will be no refund to the
department that paid for the subscription.
Your department will be billed for the subscription at
the time you enroll for eLearning.
The training manager will receive an subscription
activation email message at the time you register for a
subscription. The training manager will contact
you to get the budget code to be
billed for the subscription.
Library subscriptions are valid for one year from the date
enrolled. When a subscription expires you will be given the
option to re-enroll.
If your subscription has expired and you wish to just
continue to have access to the courses you have already
registered for and don't need course access, you may choose
the No Courses library. There is no cost for signing up for
this library and you may sign up for any of the other
libraries at any time in the future should you decide you
would like to take courses.
Renewing before the end of a subscription term helps
ensure seamless access.
