Banner 7 Fundamentals is designed for all beginning Banner users. It is also suitable for new hires or for those who need a refresher in the basics of Banner. Through this Computer Based Training (CBT), participants will be familiarized with the navigation, interface and components that make up the Banner system.

After completing this course, you will be able to:

  • Identify and describe Banner, its products, and its role in the Unified Digital Campus
  • Navigate through the Banner user interface
  • Recognize various Banner forms and describe their components
  • Access and navigate Banner forms
  • Distinguish between the different types of Banner forms
  • Utilize the help features
  • Customize Banner
  • Identify the key features of Banner 7
  • Recognize key differences between Banner 7 and previous versions

Running the Application (CBT)

  1. Go to the directory, w:\B2000\Banner 7 Training\  
    (Note: This is the "W" drive, not an internet link)
         NOTE: All Banner users should have access to this directory
  2. Click on the file Banner7.exe to run the application
    1. Macromedia Flash player must be installed.  You can download the player from the Adobe/Macromedia website.

Note:  SCT has also provided some useful "Job Aids" documents in pdf format.  These are accessed via the "W:\\B2000\Banner 7 Training\job_aids" folder.  Adobe Acrobat must be installed.
