require laboratory fees, etc. All fees must be paid by the tuition
payment deadline.
WORKLOADS
It is the responsibility of department heads to assure that an employee's
work responsibilities are not adversely affected by course enrollments and
that extra staff is not required as a result of such enrollments. Work time
lost as the result of course enrollments must be made up except in the
unusual case involving a directive by an employer that an employee take a
course to upgrade job-related skills.
REGISTRATION PROCESS
-
Complete the on-line tuition
waiver application and submit to your department supervisor for approval a minimum of two weeks before the quarter begins. The supervisor should
approve the form and then direct it to the department director or chair. The
chair/director will approve and route the form to Human Resources to verify
eligibility. Human Resources will submit the completed form to the
Registrar’s Office to set up your quarter record for registration.
-
Tuition-waived enrollment is
on a space available basis; employees enrolling under the provisions of the
tuition waiver program may not obtain permission – an override – to enroll in
a closed class. Register on the web through Web4U during Phase III which
begins on the first day of classes and ends on the fifth day of instruction;
an employee who registers for any course during Phase I or II must pay
regular tuition. NOTE: The deadline for registration using this waiver
is the fifth day of instruction.
-
Fees are due by the fee
payment deadline for the current term – refer to deadlines posted in the
Summer Session Bulletin. The $60 summer enrollment fee is non-refundable
and must be paid even if you withdraw in the first week of the quarter. Any
additional course/materials fees must also be paid by the deadline.
-
You may register either
for credit or as an auditor. You must have written permission of the
instructor to audit a class, subject to restrictions listed in the catalog.
-
All University
regulations on prerequisites and scholarship standards apply to employees
enrolling through this program.
If you wish to
matriculate and earn a degree or teaching certificate, you must submit
credentials and gain regular admission to the University.
