The primary function of Human Resources is to serve WWU’s
community by providing knowledge and resources to promote success in support of
the University missions and goals. HR develops and empowers the WWU community
through innovative and adaptive partnerships.

Our goals are to build strength by developing and empowering
the HR community; communicate effectively; expand access to knowledge and
resources; serve as a model for collaboration and foster a healthy work
environment that values WWU resources.
Functional areas include: employee relations services; labor
negotiations/relations; leadership education; payroll processing; benefits
processing and counseling; employee development; organizational development;
employment resources; human resources information system support; human
resources management systems support; classification/compensation management;
faculty and staff wellness and disability management.
