| Dear
Western Colleague:
We would like to
cordially invite you to join the Western Washington University
Faculty Club. The Faculty Club provides an opportunity for WWU
faculty to meet and interact with other faculty from different
departments and colleges on campus. Our regular Friday gathering
place, Canada House, has a glorious view of Bellingham Bay, and
a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
The Faculty Club
provides a weekly "TGIF" gathering at Canada House from 4 to 6
pm each Friday (excluding first and finals week) during the
Fall, Winter and Spring quarters. Your low Faculty Club dues
($10 per pay period) pay for your hors d’oeuvres and beverages
each Friday.
The Faculty Club also
sponsors a yearly "Day on the Bay" - a sail to Inati Bay on
Lummi Island. Other events, such as Dinner/Theater Evenings, are
also offered by Faculty Club on an occasional basis.
An additional benefit
is our membership in the Association of Faculty Clubs
International (AFCI). This reciprocal program allows our members
to visit other AFCI member Faculty Clubs around the world.
Please let us know on your application if you’d like to receive
an AFCI card (and list of member clubs) now, or if you’ll
request an AFCI card when you need one for traveling.
The cost of Faculty
Club is very reasonable and joining is easy. Just complete and
submit the enrollment form, and join us at
our Friday gatherings, from 4 to 6 pm. If you’d like to attend
before joining, please contact the Faculty Club at 360-650-4851
and come as our guest.
