Welcome to Western Washington University. You are working for one of the premier
public comprehensive universities in the country. We are proud to offer a
generous benefits package to all eligible employees.
Shortly after beginning your position, you will be sent a Benefits Guide
which has been designed to simplify the enrollment process. Included you will
find information regarding medical/dental, life and long-term disability
insurance as well as information about your retirement plan.
Benefit forms generally need to be returned no later than 31 days following
your first day of eligibility, otherwise you will be defaulted as single with no dependents into Uniform Medical Plan and Uniform Dental Plan.
You will have another opportunity to enroll or add dependents during open
enrollment, effective January 1 of each year.
Many employees find it helpful to attend a benefits orientation to review
enrollment forms. Orientations take place on Tuesdays from 2:00 - 4:00 PM at the Human Resources office ( 405 32nd Street, 3rd Floor). Please RSVP for this
orientation at benefits@wwu.edu. The
benefits orientation will be an opportunity for you to review your benefit
options and have any questions answered.
Congratulations and welcome aboard.
If you would like additional assistance, please feel free to contact a
benefits representative at 650-7713 or
benefits@wwu.edu.
