What is DCAP?

The Dependent Care Assistance Program (DCAP) is an IRS-approved, tax free account that saves you money on eligible dependent care expenses.  You authorize per pay period deposits to your DCAP account from your before tax salary.  Then, as you incur eligible expenses, you can request tax-free withdrawals from your account to reimburse yourself.

Permanent employees are eligible to participate in the DCAP program.  You have a 30-day open enrollment period from the day you begin work in an eligible position.  After that time, you may enroll each year during open enrollment (late October - November) to start participating as of January 1st.  You may also be eligible to enroll in the program mid-year if you have a life changing event, such as the birth or adoption of a child.

Effective January 1, 2008, the DCAP program will be administered by ASI.  If you are submitting a reimbursement request for contributions made in 2008, please use the ASI forms below.  If you are submitting a reimbursement request for contributions made in 2007, please use the DRS forms below.
