Woodring College of Education - Teacher Ed Program – Math Education

Bellingham, Bremerton, Everett, Oak Harbor, & Seattle Extension Sites

 

Woodring College of Education is seeking exceptionally qualified faculty for temporary, part-time teaching positions for Math Education at various extension sites.

 

The Woodring College of Education offers a variety of undergraduate and graduate degree, endorsement and certificate programs at locations around the greater Puget Sound region.  Currently, the College is seeking qualified applicants for current part-time openings at Western’s Bellingham, Bremerton, Everett, Oak Harbor, and Seattle extension sites.

Qualifications

Applicants are required to have a current master’s degree in relevant academic area, and/or evidence of relevant current scholarly post-master’s activity and coursework; undergraduate and graduate course background in mathematics and mathematics education; demonstrate an enthusiasm for mathematics; successful teaching in the K-8 public school systems; demonstrated skill in collaborative professional relations, university and community/school partnerships; commitment to interdisciplinary education and demonstrated skill in working in a technology-rich environment; demonstrated ability to work and communicate leadership experiences; able to teach integrated content/methods course for K-8 teachers; expertise in program evaluation; as a distinct educational philosophy relative to the teaching/learning of mathematics in line with the current OSPI direction; and a current Washington State driver’s license.
