About the Position:
The Art Department maintains a vacancy pool of qualified persons interested in temporary teaching positions. In anticipation of possible openings throughout the academic year and summer sessions, applications are accepted continuously for temporary non-tenure track teaching positions on a part-time basis with occasional opportunities for temporary, full-time appointments. Positions may become available at any time and are typically filled on a quarterly basis.
Position Responsibilities:
Instruction in various courses assigned by Department Chair.
Academic Emphases:
Provide areas of teaching expertise.
Required Qualifications:
MA/MFA (or equivalent experience).
Demonstrated excellent communications skills and professionalism.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience and skills in working with diverse students and staff.
About the Department:
The Department of Art offers programs in four interrelated areas of study: art studio, design, art education and art history. The programs are designed to enhance artistic and intellectual inquiry across and within disciplines. The faculty is dedicated to the preparation and sponsorship of students in their post-graduate careers as professional artists, designers, curators, art historians and art educators.
