Lecturer Vacancy Pool
POSITION:
The Economics Department at Western Washington University, Bellingham, WA invites applications for a vacancy pool from which candidates will be selected to fill full and part-time, non-tenure track positions. Positions may become available at any time and are typically filled as they become available.
Currently the department anticipates a need for one or two visiting appointments at the lecturer or visiting assistant professor level beginning September 16, 2005. This appointment is for nine months but may be renewable based on the needs of the department. There may be an opportunity to teach additional courses at the upper division or MBA levels depending on the qualifications and experience of the applicant. The teaching load is three courses per quarter.
Required Qualifications:
M/A in Economics
Demonstrated successful experience in teaching
Applicant should be academically or professionally qualified in accordance with college and AACSB standards
Preferred Qualifications:
A Ph.D. in Economics
Experience teaching principles of microeconomics, principles of macroeconomics, and managerial economics.
Desired Qualification:
Experience working with diverse students and staff.
