Job Title: Temporary Career Counselor

Career Counselor

Temporary appointment – October 2006 until approximately March 2007

 

Responsibilities: 

Primarily responsible for providing counseling and advising to students on concerns related to choosing majors and career exploration.  Also assists graduating seniors and alumni with job search.

 

Qualifications:    

Master’s degree required.  Appropriate fields include (but are not limited to): Student Personnel Administration, Counseling, Adult Education and Human Resource Management.  Minimum of two years experience in career counseling or recruiting required.  Evidence of strong counseling skills and knowledge of career assessment instruments required. Strong communication skills and evidence of effective presentation skills essential.  Must be computer literate and possess the ability to work effectively with culturally diverse populations.  Previous experience in a college or university setting preferred.

 

Rank/Salary:      

This is an Administrative Exempt position and is a temporary appointment.  Individual will work 30 hours per week for approximately 6 months.  Salary is $17.50/hr.
