Assistant Professor of Sociology
Position
The Department of Sociology invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level to begin September 2007. Salary commensurate with qualifications.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to participate in the newly formed Critical Junctures Institute for Health Care Advancement and Learning, an interdisciplinary institute focusing on health care research and training, and involving collaboration of several academic departments and St. Joseph Hospital.
Qualifications (Required)
Ph.D. (by the time of appointment.)
Specializing in Health or Aging
Commitment to undergraduate instruction, including collaborative research with undergraduates, while also maintaining an active program of research/scholarship and publication.
Preferred
Ability to teach courses in family sociology and the departmental core (statistics, methods, theory)
