Dear New Professional Staff,
On
behalf of the Professional Staff Organization (PSO) I
welcome you to Western Washington University. As an
Professional Staff employee you are automatically a member of EPSO. The purpose of EPSO is to promote an active role for
Professional Staff in University governance, provide a
voice in establishing policies and procedures, and work for the
personal and professional welfare of our members. Our
organization is part of the University governance structure and
as such, our members represent EPSO on a wide variety of
University committees.
We invite
you to actively participate in EPSO and become more informed
about issues affecting Professional Staff, as well as
take advantage of the opportunities to meet and network with
your peers. You are encouraged to attend our quarterly general
meetings, communicate your suggestions and comments to us at
meetings, via e-mail, and our listserv, and volunteer to serve
on University committees as an EPSO representative.
Announcements and notices to Professional Staff are
distributed via our listserv at
epso@lists.wwu.edu, posted on our web site at
www.wwu.edu/depts/president/EPSO.shtml, and published in
FAST, Western’s Faculty and Staff Newsletter.
As an
Professional Staff, you will automatically be subscribed to our
listserv. If you do not want to receive listserv messages,
please contact Paul Mueller at
Paul.Mueller@wwu.edu or at x3065 and ask to be removed. We
strive to keep the number of messages to a minimum, sending only
information that is of importance and relevant to the
membership.
Please visit our web site for more information about EPSO and
feel free to contact me anytime at
April.Markiewicz@wwu.edu or at x6137 if you have any
questions. Again, welcome to Western!
Sincerely,

April Markiewicz
