Implementing
ArcGIS Routes as a Data Integration Solution, Terri
Clark, San Juan County Public Works GIS
As
stewards of the public road system, Public Works Departments maintain large
volumes of data related to roads. The
data systems used to store, maintain and retrieve these data are as diverse as
the business functions they support - from Accounting to Engineering to Road
Maintenance. This presentation will
show how San Juan County Public Works
implemented ArcGIS routes as an data integration solution that, essentially,
gave three diverse data management systems - WinCams (cost accounting management system), MOBILITY (road inventory management system), and GIS
- a common language.

Cartographic Round Table
Open to All
Something
new for the NWWaGIS… This cartographic round table is intended as a chance to
share your tips, tricks, favorite map or symbol set, ask questions… Beyond the
list (above) who have volunteered to bring materials we’ll fit in as many as
time allows. If you have something to share (1-5 min. each?), please email .ppt
or other graphics to stefan
ahead
of time (for pre-loading onto a laptop). Informal discussion topics/questions
welcome too, as are hard copy print-outs of favorite maps for
display/discussion.
