10:15 - 10:45  Roland Behee - Community Transit

               Census Transportation Planning Package:

With the recent release of Census 2000 Journey to Work data for small geographies, many

transportation planning agencies are exploring the potential uses of this product.  Roland Behee will present Community Transit's current mapping and analysis of CTPP data and discuss its use in relation to other worker-flow data sources in the region.

               Update on the State Transportation Framework Project

Over the past two years the Washington Transportation Framework project (WA-Trans) has begun to build some momentum.  With a full-time project manager, active and diverse participation from around the state, a nearly finalized data model and funding for pilot projects this statewide data framework just might come to fruition.  Roland Behee, WA-Trans Steering Committee member, will provide an update on project status and data modeling.

 

10:55 - 11:55  John Joseph and Jeff Barrette - ESRI

                Jeff Barrette and John Joseph with ESRI will be presenting an in-depth look at Geoprocessing. With the release of ArcGIS 9 there are a whole host of new features GIS users can leverage. Beyond the fundamentals of the ArcToolbox and the new intelligent command line ESRI will be showing us how to utilize the new ModelBuilder technology. The conversion of models to scripts, such as Python, JScript, or VBScript and the creation of batch processes. For those of you interested in learning more about on where to get started ESRI will wrap up the session with some educational options.

From I-5 north or south take Hwy 526 (Exit 189) west toward Puget Sound. At about 2 ½ miles take Seaway Blvd. exit.  Travel north on Seaway Blvd to 75th St SW (1st traffic signal).  Turn right onto 75th St SW.  Continue through S curves and over hill to intersection with Hardeson Rd.  Turn left onto Hardeson Rd.  Travel 1/3 mile north on Hardeson Rd. to Community Transit Administration Bldg. (7100 Hardeson Rd.) on left (west) side of road.   Park in lot on south side of Admin. Bldg.

Entrance is on east side.  Community Transit Board Room is immediately to
