Mission Statement
The mission of the Western Washington University Dance Academy for Youth is to provide an opportunity for community youth to broaden their dance experience through the exploration of various dance genres and dance-related education. Classes will be structured to allow all enrolled students to explore a variety of styles under the guidance of experienced faculty.

Vision Statement
The Western Washington University Dance Academy for Youth is committed to a positive and educational dance experience for community youth encompassing:
 
  • A nurturing and safe class environment, enabling students to find the trust needed to explore different styles of dance.
  • Faculty committed to the acknowledgment of the unique learning style of each student, helping each student to progress to the best of their ability.
  • A culminating showcase performance that allows students, faculty and families to actively appreciate the accomplishments achieved by students in the workshop classes.
  • An eclectic curriculum designed to give students a broad spectrum of dance and dance-related educational experiences.
  • Instruction that is directed at technical skills but also cultivates the joy and mental and physical well-being that dance can provide.
