Are you eager to discover new, creative movement possibilities?


Explore dance techniques that will have you soaring to new heights at Western’s Dance Academy for Youth (DAY). DAY is designed for students, aged 12-18, who have basic technical dance training that want to enhance skills and expand their horizons into various genres. DAY offers a variety of eclectic and exciting classes taught by WWU Performing Arts faculty:
  • Modern
  • Jazz
  • Mod-Hop
  • Ballet
  • Choreography
  • Drumming/Musicality
  • Acting for Dancers
Culminate this dynamic experience with an evening showcase performance in Old Main Theatre at 7:00 p.m. on August 21.

Additional Class Information
Classes will be held in the Dance Studio at Carver Gym room 60.

Your attire should be stretchy, comfortable clothing that you can move easily in, ballet slippers are recommended, but not required.  Hair should be secured away from your face.

Dorm stay is not available to DAY students.
