Animation
Programming, July 11-16
Experience an intensive hands-on introduction to animation programming. Practice the principals of object-oriented programming as you complete projects throughout the week. This course will provide you with:
Class is held on Monday through Friday, various hours.
Enrollment is limited to a maximum of 20 students.
Faculty
Dr. David Bover, Professor and Chair of the Computer Science Department, teaches computer science at Western’s College of Science and Technology. Bover received his BSc in applied mathematics from Monash University, Australia and PhD in computer science from Australian National University. He is a member of the Association for Computing Machinery, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Computer Society and has over 30 of experience of teaching and in the computer software industry.

- Extensive experience using the Alice software development environment
- Experience in developing graphical animation programs
- The concepts of requirements analysis
- An introduction to the development of system scenarios
- Collaboration with classmates for the development of complex software
- Public speaking practice for the presentation of completed projects
- One college credit awarded by WWU’s College of Science and Technology
