About the Critical Junctures Institute for Health Care Advancement Learning
Comprised of professors from Western Washington University and health care professionals from the local community and St. Joseph’s Hospital in Bellingham, The Critical Junctures Institute for Health Care Advancement and Learning (Critical Junctures Institute) is a unique blend of public and private, nonprofit interests focused on a common goal: new and better models of health-care training and research. The mission of the Critical Junctures Institute is to provide research and educational services that hold potential for transforming health care at multiple levels. One of the major goals of the Critical Junctures Institute is to provide students with learning experiences that illustrate the interdisciplinary nature of health care activities throughout the local community and the ways in which collaborative teams of researchers and practitioners can solve real-world problems. Graduates of the program will ideally seek to pursue interdisciplinary training in a health-related profession.
