Learn about the natural history and ecology of the Pacific Northwest through a six-day camping trip to the Olympic Peninsula.
- Camp in the beautiful Elwha River valley
- Visit many spectacular natural places
- Study the Elwha River dam removal project
- Hike in the majestic Hoh rain forest, explore mountaintops at Hurricane Ridge
- Watch sea lions and puffins at Cape Flattery
- Eat an evening dinner at Rialto Beach
- Spend an afternoon studying inter-tidal ecology at Tongue Point
- Visit the Makah Museum, Makah Indian Nation¹s showcase of Makah traditional culture recovered from a coastal village that was buried in a landslide 500 years ago
In addition, instruction in nature photography is available to those students interested.
