The SQL Server 2005/2008 courses are designed for developers, administrators and database managers. Earn an SQL Server Developer Certificate by completing three required courses*.
  1. Introduction to SQL Server 2005/2008 and Transact SQL* (required course) 1 optional credit - Classes begin January 5
    Learn key concepts in relational database models and develop basic SQL server skills. This class is the foundation for all other SQL Server classes listed below.

  3. Moving from MS Access to SQL Server
    (optional course) 1 optional credit
    Gain skills to move data and applications from Microsoft Access over to Microsoft SQL Server.

  5. SQL Server 2005/2008 for Developers*
    (required course for developers) 3 optional credits
    Enhance your knowledge on queries, data types, joins, searching, preventing SQL injection, rolling a database to production and advanced Transact-SQL.

  7. SQL Server 2005/2008 for Administrators*
    (required course for administrators) 3 optional credits
    Discover what is needed to be a SQL Server Administrator. Learn from the basics of installation of SQL Server 2005/ 2008 to more advanced topics including replication, reporting, SSIS, backup and recovery.

  9. SQL Server 2005/2008 Performance Tuning for Administrators and Developers*
    (required course) 1 optional credit
    Speed up the performance of your SQL Server 2005 and 2008. Learn to detect slow queries, add indexes, and tune queries to increase performance.
