Spring Break, March 20-29, 2010

Fairhaven (3 credits)

Examine how agriculture in Costa Rica is serving as a proving ground for ecologically sound methods of growing food during this week-long intensive travel course.

You will take a case study approach in the field, visit farms and learn directly from farmers, while applying principles from tropical ecology and environmental policy to understand the broader context of sustainable development and biodiversity conservation in Costa Rica.
