The Whatcom County Chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union Records encompass material generated at the national, state, and local levels of the ACLU.   National materials consist of the national constitution and bylaws as well as items relevant to the organization of state affiliates and local chapters.  The Washington affiliate branch materials include the constitution and bylaws, correspondence, and meeting minutes.  Whatcom County Chapter materials also include a constitution, bylaws, correspondence and meeting minutes, as well as financial records.  Issues files cover a range of topics including mandatory registration for the Selective Service, abortion rights, separation of church and state, sexual harassment, and criminal code reform.
