The collection was generated by faculty at Western Washington State College (now Western Washington University) who formed the American Federation of Teachers, Local 2084 chapter.

Acquisition Information
The collection was donated in two installments. William Lyne (president of the United Faculty of Western Washington) transferred an initial group of records to the Center for Pacific Northwest Studies in June 2007. Eugene Hogan donated additional records in April 2008.

Processing Information
The American Federation of Teachers, Local 2084 records were processed by Rozlind Koester for the Center for Pacific Northwest Studies in June 2008. Personal information and duplicate materials were removed from the collection.

The collection is open to the public.
