Scheduling of classes into AH-16 is based on a number of factors, including the number of hours a class meets for (4 & 5 hour classes being harder to schedule are scheduled first, than 3 and 2 hour classes); class enrollment size (larger classes prioritized over smaller classes); history (a preference for keeping courses at the same time as previous years); and department (Huxley courses have first priority). All of this has to be interfaced with the other schedules of 3 departments and a host of other scheduling constraints... and the desire to keep at least one morning hour and one afternoon hour OPEN each day for student's to be able to work on assignments.

Alternatives to AH-16 include ATUS labs (AH-05, etc.) and ES-318. Note that scheduling ES-318 requires coordination with the other ESTU and ESCI courses using that room.
