Published some 35 years after The City of Bellingham, the post World War II pamphlet Vacation While You Work presented the town in very similar ways. Building on Bellingham's natural advantages, the authors now portrayed the area's recreational possibilities as incentives to investors due to their supposed calming effect on labor.
