The Center sponsors a range of public and scholarly programs and engages in
educational outreach at all levels. Particular emphasis is given to
programming, exhibits and activities that highlight economic development,
cultural and social history, and historic trends relevant to the study of
the Pacific Northwest. The Center also sponsors two
annual research fellowships of $250 to promote the use of
its collections and to forward scholarly
understandings of the Pacific Northwest. The
Center recognizes outstanding Undergraduate research and
writing an analysis with an annual award to
the best original undergraduate essay in Pacific Northwest
History.
