Washington Women's History Consortium and Digital Collections  The Center for Pacific Northwest Studies at Western Washington University is pleased to announce its partnership in the Washington Women’s History Consortium, an initiative to encourage access to records documenting modern women’s history through professional archives across the state. 

 

 

"Bellingham's Centennial: Exploring the Foundations of our Community"  In conjunction with the 2003-2004 celebration of the Bellingham centennial, this website provides teachers and students an opportunity to examine primary sources related to the history of Bellingham.
 
"Creek Story" is a comprehensive 30-minute documentary film exploring the history of Whatcom Creek and the meaning of this historic natural resource to the Bellingham community.

 
 
"The Gay and Lesbian Archives Project." Activities include collecting and preserving archival material and oral histories of GLBT people in the Whatcom County area, generating public programs and exhibits, and providing relevant internet resource links for researchers.
 
"Remembering Whatcom Creek," September 18, 1999, Bellingham Public Library, 9AM-6PM. Activities include collecting photos and other materials for an archival collection and a speakers series throughout the day.
 
"Salmon: Cycles of Life in Northwest Interior Washington," part of the Library of Congress Bicentennial Local Legacies Project. How human understandings of salmon across time reflect cultural approaches to the region.
